Via Camuzzoni
by Stephen Bennett
Hello - thanks for taking a look at my tune Via Camuzzoni!
The name means Camuzzoni Street in Italian. I don't know who Camuzzoni was, but there is a guitar festival that happens every Spring in Soave, Italy on the street named for this person. I wrote the tune after I played at this festival for the first time.
I used a banjo capo at the 4th fret but left the 6th string open. So, some key of C shapes will be obvious, although of course, the actual key is E.
There are a couple of spots where I would suggest using your thumb on the 6th string; it will be easier.
The tune is fairly straightforward and I hope you have fun with it.
Once tricky spot is the last chord with all the harmonics. The way I do this is to place my index finger 12 frets above the capo on the first string, right over the actual fret. Then, with my ring finger, I pluck that string. This move then just goes across all the strings. With the first finger of my left hand at the 5th fret and my ring finger ready for a harmonic at the 12th fret of non-capoed 6th string, as the harmonics come sweeping down the strings, the first finger slides up to the 7th fret.
Have fun with Via Camuzzoni!
