Scott Richter will give a talk about his construction of a 7-string guitar.
Matthew Grasso will perform unique transcriptions of classical masterworks for solo guitar and guitar duo accompanied by Eric Rasmussen. Carlos Oliveira, Mauro Correa will delight us with the beautiful sounds of Brazilian jazz plus a brief history of the 7-string guitar.

Dusan Bogdanovic Summer Classes
Dusan Bogdanovic will be offering an eight-day summer class for the guitar in Périgueux (France), along with Olivier Chassain, professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris.
- Date : July 11-18 2007 (Wednesday July 11th 2:30 PM (14.30) until Wednesday July 18th 6 PM (18.00).
- Location : Périgueux (Dordogne, SW France), at the Ecole Britten (Higher Institute of Music of the City of Périgueux).
- The class is designed for guitarists performing solo, in duets or quartets, etc.
- Each student or ensemble will receive lessons from both teachers.
- There will be the possibility of an approach to guitar composition, and initiation to or advanced tuition on improvisation with Dusan Bogdanovic.
- Limited number of students. Excellent working conditions in calm surroundings, at the heart of a beautiful town with a great reputation for its lovely old quarters and fine food.
- Fees (guitar solo) : 300 €. Duets : per student : 180 €. Quartets : per student : 160 €.
- Cheap accommodation is available.
- Students have a free ticket for a concert by Dusan Bogdanovic and Olivier Chassain.

The Ultimate Summer Jam
Jam Camp 2007, presented by The Music School, is an intensive, week-long summer camp for young musicians interested in Rock, Alternative, Jazz, Funk, Blues, Hip-Hop, and other styles. Under the direction of Caleb Chapman, founder of The Music School, this unique setting presents musicians ages 13-18 http://www.themusicschool.us/jamcamp/main.php?section=about with an unrivaled experience in performing, recording, and the music industry.
Musicians of all levels on guitar, bass, drums, piano/keyboards, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, and vocals are invited to attend. Campers will choose an emphasis for their Performance Track and will then be grouped into bands by ability and interest. All campers will select elective classes from a broad range of styles, regardless of which emphasis they select.
Jam Camp culminates with performances by all campers on the final day. Each camper will also receive a professional studio recording of his or her band from the week.
