This tune comes to us from Perth, Scotland- which is just above Fife, which is just north of Edinburgh (I think). I drove through them all last September and will be back again this September 1-15, roadmap in hand! This tune should flow out pretty well. Note how the B section switches freely back and forth between the major and minor mode. Guitarists will have a nice stretch in measures 7 and 9. There may be other ways to finger these measures but the effect would be altered. The open-string ring is needed whenever possible, so try it as written before searching for alternate fingerings. Those of you who master this tune at a medium tempo will be challenged all over again when you take it up to speed. You could also do something different with dynamics or timbre on the repeats.
