The First World Guitar Congress was hosted at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland June 2 - 9, 2004. Attendees, musicians and clinicians from around the world attended and performed, from Australia to Paraguay to the Czech Republic. Each day offered great clinics and amazing concerts. Some of the clinicians and concerts included the following players: Howard Alden, Sergio and Odair Assad, Jimmy Bruno, Jerry Douglas, Jim Hall, Steve Herberman, Johnny Hiland, Albert Lee, Juan Martín, Pat Martino, Tony Rice, David Russell, John Scofield, Andy Summers, Martin Taylor, Marija Temo, Tuck & Patti, Frank Vignola and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.
